My Program:
Continue to eat lots of fruit and vegetables. Eat protein 2 - 3 times a day, and work on drinking more water. Work out, almost daily, but no less than 5 days a week.

Personal Information:
I was born and grew up in Germany. Curiosity prompted a visit to the US and I never left. I am married to the love of my life. We have two sons and four grand daughters. In Aug. 2011, I celebrated 50 years in the US. Hard to believe. I had total hip replacement surgery in July 2010. I love walking, skiing, golfing, swimming, and, out of necessity, strength training, to stay as active as I can.

I've been out of commission for a while. We took a 24 day trip to Vancouver and Alaska. Right after getting back, I was sick with the flu and a cold for 2 weeks. I've just gotten back to exercising in the last few days.

Have fun with your family. We are going down to see ours for 4-5 days in mid-July. emoticon

Hi Marlis!

That's awesome that we're neighbors! I don't meet many from NV let alone around here.

At some point when I feel like I can handle it, I want to get into a gym and do some heavy powerful workouts with a trainer. I'm not up for that at all right now, but to build the kind of muscle mass that I want, I need gym equipment and a trainer that knows what they're doing.

I love swimming and it's great exercise. I also have a tons of DVD's to work out with. Right now I'm focusing on 3 different cardio workouts (Spin bike, Gazelle Glider and Urban Rebounder) then every other day I'm lifting my dumbells and kettlebell. It's all I can handle and I'm really out of shape!

I hope you have a nice visit with your family next week!

Thank you for the nice comment on my page. Actually I am trying to be a little less crazy about losing the weight. Just trying to eat a little less and move a little more instead of follow any program and it seems to be working for me.
