    Hi, I saw you are the team leader of Slow, Fat, Runners. I wouldn't consider you that but I do consider myself that. Anyway, I have lupus and osteopenia, too. I started running to combat the osteopenia and my bone density is back to normal for my age. I wondered if you had it tested recently because you really do regain it. I also lift weights a couple of times per week. Used to do 3 days but play too much tennis now. Anyway, will probably join the team. I'm pretty slow and pretty overweight:)

    Well, I feel like a complete idiot. I read your blog and responded to it in the middle of the night while I was not at my best game, shall we say.
    Normally, I think to check out the person's page before I respond to a blog, but NOOOO...not this time. LOL

    Who am I to even begin to offer you advice?

    I'll just sit back and learn from you from now on.

    Oh, and I see that you train off-season at Run-Tex! That was where I took my very first running class over a decade ago...Run-Tex in Austin, actually. What a great thing they have going there.

    And I see that you are fighting lupus and rheumatoid arthritis as well as "meno-paused metabolism" (great way to express it). I can't tell you how much I admire you. I despise lupus and rheumatoid arthritis and destruction they cause to the human body. I'm glad you are fighting back against them.
