Obesity is a slow moving health care Tsunami

The title of my page is paraphrasing the CEO of Novo Nordisk (manufacture of insulin and diabetes products).

This is my Spark page. I am a middle aged, overweight pretty ordinary guy who is trying to live healthy and be active. I was hypertensive. That is under control. I still have weight to lose, and hopefully that will come under control.

Nice to hear from you. I'm planning on a hike this afternoon, time for some solitude! I see you've signed up for a little race. Enjoy!

How goes it?

I have spent too long wandering in the food desert. I just weighed in this morning and I am above my starting weight from SP back in May, 2009. Time to refocus on diet.

On the plus side, I just finished marathon number 6, Columbus, in 3:45 and change, an 8 minute PR. I'm looking to drop 6 minutes to qualify for Boston.

Justy need to find that balance between nutrition and exercise...

How are things with you?

Thanks for reading my blog. I was going to do Detroit this year, because my niece, who ran her first 5K at that same race last year, said she planned to do the half this year. Well, that never happened, so I didn't sign up for it. I was in Detroit in the spring and did the Cocoa HM, which was fun, but COLD. Glad you were able to keep a good pace despite not training.

Go Wings!
