Hey, all. I'm a 57yr old going on 30yr old stuck in a 57yr old body. *lol* Makes no sense? Think about it. Years are simply the passage of time, but do we ever lose the need to feel fit and attractive? Well, I don't, and I'm sure anyone reading this blog doesn't, either! I have serious goals, and losing weight, to get back to my pre-kids level, is one of them. Why not, I deserve it,right? I've raised my family; my older son is the age I was when I moved to New England and I'm STILL overweight. Time to get out of the rut, I say! So, thanks to Weight Watchers and the kind suggestion of a friend (Thanks, Sandy!) to check out Sparkpeople,here I am!

My Goals:
My goal is to get fit and healthy, and feel that "normal weight" person feeling again! :o)

My Program:
Weight Watchers worked for me before, so I'm giving it a try again. The good thing about WW is that you'll lose weight even if you don't exercise. Although I go to a personal trainer once a week and try to get on my stationary bike and do some weight reps on my own, I don't always find the time to work out. Also, I'm a writer (lots of sitting), so something that will keep working for me even when I can't keep working is a good thing. :o)

Personal Information:
I'm married, have two grown sons, live in Connecticut. I'm a writer; I've finished one manuscript (currently with an agent) and am working on the 2nd. Yes--lots of sitting! Also I do lots of needework--needlepoint, crocheting, cross-stitch mostly these days. I have to work on getting myself to work out, but because my main activities involve being at home, I use my stationary bike a lot and lift/press weights.

Other Information:
I write historical fiction and I LOVE to watch period dramas (think: BBC or PBS type historical stuff). I'm also an artist, just venturing lately into needlepoint design.
