Making it Happen!

I am a husband and daddy of 2 wonderful children. I'm trying to hit my goal weight by next summer. I dropped to 195 last August right before a trip to Disney World which effectively ended my diet. I am at 217 at the time I began this journey at sparkpeople. I had been using mynetdiary.com to get to the 195. Bottom line is calorie counting works. Eat less, exercise more, and you will lose weight.

My Goals:
I want to be able to run a 5k 5 days a week.

I'd like to be below 170lbs by summer 2012.

Being debt free with a fully funded emergency fund (google Dave Ramsey if that doesn't make sense).

I would like to complete a century ride on my road bike.

My Program:
I began the couch to 5k program on 8/29/11.

I am using spark to track my calorie intake and burn.

I use a Polar f6 heart rate monitor to keep me from overdoing it and track calories burned.
