Going to be FABULOUS in 2011! :)

I am a full time Pre-Med student...going into Maternal Fetal medicine, and in order to coach others on their health...I have to be healthy. I need to develop healthy habits, exercise regularly and be an example to the many patients I will have one day.


Being 22 years old and obese is NOT an option anymore!!
I am one of those who has been on and off...done good, then broke routine and slipped up. I recently had some medical things come up also with just some life ...

I have seen so many people on spark be so successful and now its MY turn :)
I havent ever been a small size, the lowest weight I can remember as an adult would be about 210 my senior year of highschool.
I plan on working hard and not giving up...its time to shed those 80-100 lbs...I don't know what my final goal weight is...cause I dont know what I look at or how I will feel. Right now I am trying small goals 15-20 lbs at a time...and to get out of the obese range...and into the healthy range.

I am trying a new philosophy, change my habits. Not focusing so much on actually losing weight. Focusing on changing habits, and living healthier. Trusting the process...and losing weight along the way.
I need to stop being so lazy...and start living a new fantastic life!! :)

I want to be fit, and healthy...

I want to be able to run a 5k. (Done!)

I want to find my body beautiful.

I want to be happy and in love with myself.

I havent ever been small, so I dont really know what a good goal weight is, as of now I am striving towards 150 which is what puts me into a healthy weight and no longer obese or overweight.

My Program:
I recently did a half marathon (run half walk half). I am planning another on in September, so I am hoping to really kill the training this time and do better than my first! I am just gonna go with it, I have calorie burns I wanna hit (about 600 a day- and one higher day about 850) I figure I will just do what I feel like doing that day between running, elliptical, zumba, DVD.


Plan my meals for the week- no it doesn't have to be day specific but have a 7-10 day plan of food and grocery shop on that...I am going to try to do a lot of clean eating coming into 2011. Time to rid my body of crazy toxins and hormones that are so prominent in food today :)

Just be healthy- watch calorie content by calories and weight watchers points (sometimes because of my busy lifestyle points are easier to keep track of)

Loads of veggies and fruits and all healthy good foods.

no eating out...if no other choice then to choose very healthy foods.

I grew up in Oregon, moved to Phoenix for about 4 years (I worked for an airline), just recently moved back to Oregon to go to school I am a pre-med student.

I love to read...I really need to strive to make myself healthy.

I agree! I just don't understand why I have such a hard time getting going. It's so beautiful outside most of the days here but yet I just sit around. I should be going for short walks or something. And why am I eating junk food when there are fresh foods now available from gardens! I suck!
