Howdy! I am on a mission. I am on a mission to not only make myself healthier but to help others do the same. I love sharing my story and what I have learned over the past few years. I also make sure that every stride I run and every stroke I pedal goes towards helping others (whether the fight against cancer, Childhood obesity or helping children). I started this mission after my mom died of cancer and finding out that leading a active, healthy lifestyle is a huge preventer of cancer. ...

I started this journey out slow by walking and making sure I ate breakfast every day. I later picked up running and now have run 9 half-marathons and have set goals to run a full marathon and even attempt qualifying for Boston. I have also picked up cycling recently and love it just as much as I love running.

My Goals:
To get to my goal weight and be a healthy mom who passes healthy habits to my son and daughter.

To qualify for and run the Boston Marathon before I turn 35.

Lose 1 to 2 pounds per week.

Run a sub 2:30 Half Marathon

My Program:
Run 4-5 days a week

Run 2 fun runs a month:

Crosstrain 2 days a week

Strength train 2 days a week (1 time with my trainer)

Eat clean 6 days a week

Log all food intake in tracker


Personal Information:
If you haven't been able to tell I am a 100% proud Texas A&M Aggie. I live in the Dallas area and have been married for 9 years to my high school sweetheart. We have a son who is 2 and a little girl who is 6. Gig'em!

I had to modified the squat overhead barbell press this morning. I raised the bar up to my chest and squat back down. Eleven more weeks to go.

Just wondering what marathon is better between Cowtown and Dallas. You've done them both right? Looking for one to do next year. Are you doing either one next year?
