When I was 18, I thought I was fat. Hah! I was a size 12, and looking back, I was healthy and attractive. I'm attractive now, at least to my husband, but I'm certainly not healthy.

So, here we go! I've been a member of SparkPeople since January 1, 2006. My starting weight on that day was 234.5. My highest weight, in February, 2001, was 257. Weight Watchers, South Beach...they've all helped me along the way. Now, it's SparkPeople's turn. The people and tools on this website are invaluable!

My Goals:
My long-term goal is to get back down to a healthy weight and to feel comfortable maintaining it. Along with that goes the goal of not developing diabetes, heart disease, and osteoperosis. My cholesterol is great, by the grace of good genes, and my blood pressure is normal once again after two years post-partum on blood pressure meds. I'm not counting on my luck to keep those two in check, though, so I need to get my weight under control.

So, my ultimate goal weight is 150-ish. My "official" Spark goal is 199 by June 14. That will be changing after I reach 199.

My Program:
I'm tracking calories, an approach I've never taken before. I've done well on WW Points in the past, although I don't do so well when I don't attend meetings. I've also had VERY good results on South Beach, but I'm mixing it up a little bit this time.

Personal Information:
I'm Aimee, as you can tell by my screen name. I'm 31, ecstatically married, mom to two young boys, writer for children, and part-time worker at the best retail store in the U.S. I currently live in Georgia, USA.

Other Information:
I believe that thought is power. Prayer works, yes, because it is positive thought. The energy carried by positive thought has enormous potential to change the world. So keep praying for peace and health. :)
