Thank you for the comment on my blog. I'm rooting for you as well. Really sad that you had the diagnosis for type 2 diabetes. I know how it feels at first going from taking no pills to taking sometimes a lot. But it's something we get used to. When I got diagnosed in 2009 they put me on insulin right away because of another health issue I have and I had to fight to get back to pills which are working way better for me just not to have to take the insulin 4 times each day. The pills are not fun and they do have side effects but they are more manageable I've found.
It's hard at the beginning with diabetes to get the hang of things and also for the body to get use to the pills, especially the Metformin which I take mixed in with Diabeta. But if you take your time you'll figure things out and once you get it controlled it really makes a difference on the body.
For your question on weigh-in day I've been weigh-in on Wednesday for a couple of weeks now since I joined the BLC for the winter. Normally I weighed-in on Sunday but honestly I prefer Wednesday now. It's in the middle of the week so it's not right after the weekend when sometimes I'll eat more greasy or salty. And this might be totally TMI but it also helps during my period to get a less drastic change in my weight due to the hormones and all the other fun things.
I hope your week is going great and I wish you a nice weekend ahead. Take care Annie 5 days ago
Good morning! I walked laps and did squats into the chairs. I used the laundry detergent bottle as a weight. I was the only one there so I didn't loon weird lol. I did lunges too. Just kept moving instead of sitting lol 9 days ago
That is great! Just getting the blood work and knowing where we stand is the first step and then we can make an action plan going forward. I hope your results are great! And if they aren't as good as you hoped we will work on it. :) 25 days ago
