Starting again 10.1.12
Have had 2 attempts here before and countless other diets, fads, shakes, plans etc. even a few structured programs which I paid for but that was years ago. I did manage to keep off 60 lbs about 7 years ago and kept it off for a year and a half. But as always gained it back plus a steady slow increase over time. I have 80 lbs which I would like to lose by August 2013 that is the goal, I think this is realistic and love it here there is a wealth of info and support ...

I have 80 lbs which I would like to lose by August 2013 that is the goal, I think this is realistic and love it here there is a wealth of info and support it's just me putting me first and making it a priority and I know how important it is, have a lot of diabetes in the family and although I am now ok, it scares me - I lost my mom and grandma to this disease years ago and I know I am putting myself at risk by carrying around this extra weight.

Although I don't have a lot of info on here from my last two attempts I built up a great list of food favorites and recipes it's strange but part of me wanted to wipe away my old info and start fresh, but it's important to be honest and remind myself of where I was and what I could accomplish in a pretty short period of time and also what happens when I don't have a plan and support to keep me focused on my health and my eating habits.

So I have updated my weight loss goals and program and started spark coach.

Lose this extra weight in a healthy way - increase my energy and health, no more trying quick fixes and unrealistic goals and setting myself up for frustration and failure. Stick with it, be consistent and honest.

Hi Alicia!! Nice to have you on the Stand Up & Lose It Team!! I'm trying to get back in the groove of things but this team has seen me through some harder times. Glad to have a new face in the stand ups. Congrats. on getting your morning work out in. I have been trying to get back to doing that again, it's such a nice feeling going into work and have already gotten it out of the way. Good luck on your one month weigh-in tomorrow sounds like you have been working hard!
PS- Your kitties are adorable!!

Hi Alicia! Welcome to the Stand Up & Lose It team. I'm sorry I didn't see your post sooner. I'm 47, and have just finished the weight loss part of my journey.... 90 lbs. gone. Now I'm trying to figure out the maintenance thing.

It's a great, intimate team, and we hope you'll start "standing up" soon. There is a new thread every day.
