Tracking My Transformation

Health, nutrition and exercise have always been passions of mine. So, how did I end up overweight? Ah, well, really great food is also a passion of mine! And also genetically, I'm very carb sensitive...so if I eat a potato I gain weight (yes, I really do) and it sets me up to crave carbohydrate as well.

I've learned that the best diet for me is low carb and I've thrown myself into learning about how bodies (like mine) metabolize food and to read up on the latest science about it. ...

I've learned that the best diet for me is low carb and I've thrown myself into learning about how bodies (like mine) metabolize food and to read up on the latest science about it. With implementation of what I'm learning I know that I will achieve my goal of optimal health!

Helping people and inspiring others are also passions of mine! So this website is wonderful for that! And I love the support and inspiration it offers me as well. Together we can do this!

Hi, Allie! You were on the verge of rocketing off 2 months ago; I hope you are still as motivated! I've kept going with my cycling as it has worked very well for me. But I could use your brand of support.... come and post on the Atkins Team again!

Quit hiding out! Where are you? You haven't posted for 2 weeks and I miss you! I miss YOU!
I barely made it through Induction. It was a helpful process; it definitely made me aware of how many carbs I had let creep into my diet. I am still trying to be very LC as I work my way up into more carbs -- you know, adding only 5 g carb a week.... It is trying my patience! While I haven't yet broken through 180, I do see some movement on the scale in the right direction. It gives me hope!

Now I want a report from YOU on how you are doing! No room for shame here; we have been here before and we know that we will be here again. But we KEEP GOING, because that is how progress is made!

Please don't forget to post on the Atkins Team thread. You could tell us how you feel physically; and how many carbs you are eating. I have finally managed to get 3 days in a row ( my measure of accomplishment) of less than 20 grams carb consumption. So at this point, *I* consider myself on day 4 of Induction, since all the days of re-educating myself and trying but not accomplishing that level don't count as Induction.

I feel fine. I feel normal. I actually feel somewhat excited by my level of anticipation regarding potentially resuming weight loss, since I HAVE made significant changes this past week. I have YOU to thank!
