Oh my life is changin' every day, in every possible way...

Hey everyone! My name is Allyn. I have been overweight most of my life, and I am finally taking steps to change that. My highest weight was 224 lbs (5'2"), and I will NEVER see that number again! I am sick of being a statistic (San Antonio is one of the fattest cities in the nation, and I don't want to be part of keeping us on that list). I love learning how to cook and eat healthy, and I am slowly making exercise my friend, too.

My DONE Statement:

I am DONE feeding my emotions junk food - they are important, and I should feed them healthy things so they can heal.
I am DONE tying my self-worth to the number on the scale.
I am DONE giving all of my progress up just because I had a fall off the wagon.
I am DONE comparing my progress to that of others, and feeling bad when I am not moving as fast as they are.
I am DONE saying "I can't."
I am DONE letting life pass me by because I am too self-conscious to live it.

I am a DONE GIRL!

My Goals:
2010 goals:

To get down into "healthy" BMI (136lbs)

To complete my Couch to 5k program

To run four road races

To get off of my blood pressure medication (Doctor says maybe by March 2010! Woohoo!)

To wear shorts and a sleeveless shirt in public

To buy a two-piece swimsuit I don't totally hate myself in - and WEAR IT

My Program:
I am sticking with a range of 1200-1550 calories. I tend to gravitate to high-fiber, high-protein meals to keep me feeling full longer. I love fresh fruits and veggies and have no problems putting them into my diet (and the husband likes them too - bonus)!

The fitness program is get moving, keep sweating, and change it up so I don't get bored. I am giving the Couch to 5k program another shot now that I'm not lugging around an extra 60-ish lbs... hopefully it will help me take off the last 35 or 40!

Personal Information:
Married, 30, no kids, two pets (a dog and a cat). We live in San Antonio, TX. I love to cook, love to play video games (yay Rock Band), and enjoy spoiling my husband (BILLMC23) and my pets.

I'm not at work anymore, but it basically said that I must think she's stupid because I tell her the same thing over and over again (because she is stupid, and she asks over and over again) and that I'm a stuck up b!tch. It said more, but I was so irritated reading it, that I don't remember much. I'll read it again tomorrow (IF I go to work - depends on the snow).

It means New you or kids.

Not really, it's my favorite city in the States in my favorite flower. It was the screen name I chose in college and it just kind of stuck. I've thought about changing it, but I just can't be bothered.

Look here, skank-arella, I have prescribed medication for my TOM. Pop a midol and lose the dramatics. (you know I'm just kidding and I totally love you).

*pouts* I'm not mean and I'm only a wench if I get a pirate hat.

Macy's gives them five out of five stars. I read most of the reviews, and the only gripe was that they wish the skillet was bigger - so if you buy the 10 piece set, you might have to buy a bigger skillet. Everyone was impressed with the silicone handles (not yours), see through lid, and how easily they cleaned up.

I have Tfal at home, so, no personal experience.

Yes you can beat it with a stick! Beat it, kick it's ass. Whack it's face off (if boxes had faces) Go on...
