My Goals:
I set a very small goal (like 5 lbs) and then make another small goal when I meet this one.

When I lose a pound or two I try to make that same weight with clothes on. Then I try and make that same weight with a weigh-in later in the day. By the time I weigh the same in the evening with clothes on, I am ready to try a morning weigh-in right after a shower! Then I start the process all over again. It makes a nice surprise when I see the new number!

My Program:
4/2012: Slow, steady progress. I've lost over 50 lbs in the last 7 years and I've done it very, very slowly. Now, I need to continue as I've maintained for several months.
1/2013 Lost over 10 lbs last year at Sparks. Gained it back over the Holidays. With the encouragement and motivation found here, I'm back at it. Things I want to include in my program again are: Exercise and elimination of wheat in my diet. No flour neither (white nor whole wheat) really helped control my appetite last year. I'm going to do this again. Information from a book titled "Wheat Belly" was very convincing.

Other Information:
Happily married.
Four adult children
Four granddaughers and one grandson.
Two westies who are a constant source of amusement.

So glad you are back and stopped by..

My son. Greg, lost his fight with cancer and died Dec. 30. But, we were so blessed to have him in our home for about 7 months, We had such a good time and he and his brother were able to reconcile their differences. Greg had a couple sessions of chemo and decided not to do more. So he was actually feeling better and was able to get out more. And that was good,

Now i am just taking each day as God gives, And so enjoying my knitting group, And am so looking forward to a fun, busy summer,

Hope you and yours are well.,

Just stopped by to see how you are. Hope everything is ok in your home.

We are doing ok. My son, Greg, is having chemo for the cancer. In a coupe of weeks they will do a scan to see the progress. We do know that he will not survive and eventually the cancer will win - but we are giving it a good fight!! He is truly a strong young man!!

It is very warm here - and there are thunderstorms in the forecast. Did not happen yesterday so will see what happens today!!

Love to you and yours,
barb
