Changing for good

My name is Amber, I am 31 and I have 3 kids. I am looking to find a way to have a healthy relationship with food. I eat because I find pleasure in the food, not because I am hungry. This is terrrible, because I can gain weight so quickly if I'm not careful. I would like to weight around 140lbs. We'll see how that goes.....

My Goals:
I would like to weigh 140lbs. I can't remember the last time I was 140!

My Program:
I am logging what I eat, trying to stay at 1500 calories a day or less and trying to eat more fruits and vegetables. I am also trying to get in some exercise each day. I'm doing Weight Watchers now trying to learn how to maintain my weight loss and hopefully keep losing a little more.

Personal Information:
I live in La Habra, Ca. with my three children and my husband. I am always so busy at home that rarely do I have anytime for myself. So using Sparkpeople makes me feel good that I am doing something for me.

It's good to hear from you!

I fall off the wagon on a daily basis. It's human.
I did fairly well on Monday & Tuesday but today there was lo mein and crab rangoon for me to share with the 90 yr. old lady I care for. OH! I also had the fortune cookies [which weren't so hot in the fortune department.]

You will do OK and if you don't...so what? Try again.

I'm busy but I wouldn't have it any other way. My sister is in from Berlin and my son will be in from Missouri in a week. He's an Army nurse. Even tho I'm retired I still work. If I stayed home I would wither and I don't want to wither.

I know it's hard to get into a healthy lifestyle but all those diet remedies just don't work. Hard work and perserverance will get you where you want to be. If you work hard for something you appreciate it more.

My mother used to say...Make the bed, pick up stuff laying around, and wash the dishes. The house will look neat...dusty but neat. The heck with housework have fun with the kids.
