Hi everyone!! My name is Amber andI recently turned 29 and realized that my life is nothing like I pictured it to be. I always thought that when I turned 30 I would be married, starting a family and have a great career....well, one of the above has happend. I am single, no kids but I obtained my CA and work at a job that I love But I realized that it's okay, for the most part I like my life. The only thing that I would change (and I am currently working on) is me. I am tired of not being able to shop in a "normal" store, getting winded when I walk up stairs, having pain in my knees and feet, and not loving myself enough to do something about it. So I decided to change and do something about it and being DONE complaining about it...no one has the ability to fix those things except for me so here I go one step at a time!!! It is not easy, every day I have to make choices about what to eat and deciding to work out!!! Anyone who tells you weight loss is easy is lying!! But that doesn't mean it can't be fun. I have joined a gym and purchased some workout DVD's so I can switch things up so I don't get bored....someone once told me "You won't do it if it's not fun!!" How true that statement realy is. As the youngest of 5 sister (yep all girls) I have a lot of support from my family, many of them have struggled with their weight as well....maybe not to the extreme like me but they understand the obsticles and hurdles that are part of losing weight and gaining a healthy lifestyle. My long term goal is to lose about 150 to 160 lbs and complete a half marathon. I thought it would be good to set a fitness goal and a weightloss goal so that it would keep me balanced and focused on doing this the right way and not giving in to fad diets. Today is the first day of my journey and I am DONE with being a fat girl!!! Goals and rewards: 260lbs - Sex and the City Season 4 250lbs - Wii Active 240lbs - Sex and the City Season 5 230lbs - Workout DVD 220lbs - New Jeans 210lbs - Sex and the City Season 6A 200lbs - Biggest Loser for Wii 190lbs - Sex and the City Season 6B 180lbs - Leather jacket 170lbs - Workout DVD 160lbs - New suit 150lbs - Ring - 15 diamonds (one for each 10lbs lost)
