Making Changes

My name is Stephen, and I just turned 41 this year. I work as a Software Engineer, which means a large portion of my days are spent sitting at a desk staring at a computer screen. My name is Stephen, and I just turned 41 this year. I work as a Software Engineer, which means a large portion of my days are spent sitting at a desk staring at a computer screen. A few years ago, my wife and I chose to move a considerable distance from our offices, so that we could maximize our buying dollar and purchase a larger home. Although the home is great, it came at the additional cost of losing approximately 3 hours every day to commute traffic. You never realize how valuable time is, until you lose it. Now, I spend my days constantly trying to find a balance between my family, the office, and my personal health and fitness.

Even before I moved into program management, and before the move, I had been struggling with my weight. I am uncertain when it happened, but at some point, I gave up on improving myself. At one point, I made a valiant effort to turn things around. I dropped from a then high of 263 down to 203, only to have it all come back with a vengeance. A couple weeks back, I decided to take this on again, and started at a new high of 271.

Wish me luck, and feel free to add me as a buddy. I'll take as many as I can get!

My Program:
Complete some form of cardio for 40 minutes and eat 1,900 or less calories a day. For at least five days a week.

Personal Information:
I live in Northern California with my wife and daughter. Work and family usually keep me busy, and if that was not enough, I have also returned to school in hopes of getting a degree in psychology.
