I'm 23 and have struggled with weight since heavy medical treatment for my liver and kidneys after being medically discharged from the Navy.(Honorable)
I went from being fit my whole life to morbidly obese in a few short months, I couldn't run and work out from the constant pain and eventually fell into a heavy depression.
I overcame an emotionally abusive relationship and finally got (some what) healthy. The medical treatments stopped but my struggle with the weight hadn't.
Now that I'm much more emotionally healthy and in a better position in life I'm ready to be me again. I'm sick of not recognizing the girl in the mirror. I have a great job, my own place, my own car, I'm starting school again, now I want to be healthy.
And I'm going to do what ever it takes.

My Goals:
I want to look good, feel good, and just feel like my old self again, maybe even better! I want to lose at least 80 pounds and tone my body.

My Program:
I don't have a plan set in stone yet. But, right now I'm premaking healthy meals four at a time so when I'm hungry I don't go for junk food. I'm weaning myself off soda, and I'm drinking a lot more green tea.(Which I've always loved) I just joined a gym and plan to go at least 3x a week and gradually increase the days and time.

I'm 23, born August 11th 1989. I live in Tampa,FL near USF. I'm a very big comic book and video game nerd. I love tattoos and piercings. (I have a Thor and Zelda tattoo devoted to my nerd pride)
I love animals, nature, and random adventures.

    emoticon emoticon emoticon ANY time is a great time to start...especially with Sparkpeople. Give yourself a big hug for making this positive choice for yourself. Take your time to explore all the resources available for you here. It can seem overwhelming because there are so many resources to choose from. Two to consider using are the Nutrition and Fitness Trackers. Check out Spark Recipes for great recipes to try. Also, check out Spark Teams under the COMMUNITY Tab. Do searches on your goals, interests, hobbies, whatever. Then join one, two or more Spark teams. You'll enjoy getting to know these folks and giving and getting lots of encouragement along the way. It's all good. Enjoy the journey!
