Ready to be healthy again...
My name is Amy and I live in Western Nebraska. I have been trying to lose weight and get healthy since my daughter was born in December 1999. I am committed to getting there after many attempts. My name is Amy and I live in Western Nebraska. I have been trying to lose weight and get healthy since my daughter was born in December 1999. I am committed to getting there after many attempts. I used to be very healthy and cannot wait to get back to that. My spark journey has been a roller coster ride. I started out very slowly and almost gave up. I have found some great spark friends and spark teams that keep me going. I was down to my lowest weight in almost 15 years in late 2010. I was at 131 only 15 pounds away from my goal weight. In November 2010 I got injured at work. I had a pretty bad hip injury. I was at one time unable to any physical activity for almost a month straight. Needless to say I gained back 20 pounds. I was so used to burning thousands of calories a day at my job that I still wanted to eat that way even when I was unable to do anything. I am back to almost 100% or at least as close to it as I am going to get. I have restarted my program and am working to get back to where I was and ultimately achieve my goal weight of 115 pounds. I peaked at 151 pounds. I have really dedicated myself to watching the calories I put in my body vs. the calories I burn. I am keeping track daily in my online journal. I am happy to say that so far I am down 2 lbs. I am hopefully well on my way back to achieving my goals. I am still struggling with weight loss even though I have reached a plateau and am not gaining weight any more. I am very frustrated because I know what it takes exercise wise for me to lose the weight, but I know that my body cannot endure that at this point. My hip will probably never heal so I am struggling with finding ways to burn the kind of calories I need to burn. To add to all of this I have taken on a second job so time is a serious issue. I am just taking one day at a time and doing what I can do.

My Goals:
1. Exercise consitently (5 days a week for at least 30 minutes). I will also meet my calorie burn set by SP every week and will keep track by tracking my fitness minutes. 2. Eat healthy. I will use SP meal plans. I will track my calories as well as my nutrients daily. I will stay in my set ranges. I will use SP daily nutrition report to keep track of how I am doing. 3. I will achieve a healthy BMI and weight. My goal weight is 116. I will weigh in weekly and post weight on SP. I will measure success in 5 pound increments.
My Program:
I am trying to become more involved in challenges to keep my motivation up. Working to consistently track my food. Started the Nebraska 5% challenge for fall.
