Self-motivation is the key to success
I recently had a setback in my life. Now I found the key to success. Self-motivation is the only way. You can have loyal friends that help along the way and I have several @ Spark People. I recently had a setback in my life. Now I found the key to success. Self-motivation is the only way. You can have loyal friends that help along the way and I have several @ Spark People. I am the one that has to decide where I want to be and how I am going to get there. I know that every challenge begins with a single step, the one getting out of bed every day. I challenge myself to love myself, love others and above all do what I love best. I have to start by taking care of myself. I have to eat healthy and move my body EVERY DAY. No more self pity, no excuses. I will motivate myself by giving myself rewards for each 10 pounds lost. I will not eat "outside the box" no matter what. My Goals:
lose 145 pounds by my birthday in 2010. Get healthier even if I can't lose that much weight. work on cardio every day work on strength training three days a week
My Program:
I started May 25th and I began with nutrition goals. I added fitness on day 2 I started walking a mile a day. I slowly added more walking time and was given a Y membership for my anniversary on June 15th. Now I use a treadmill and the pool every day I am able. I just upped my treadmill minutes to 60/6 days a week I do water jogging a minimum of an hour 6x a week. I track everything I eat, I am working on getting in enough calories in proper proportion.
Personal Information:
I am from Wausau,Wisconsin, born and raised in Janesville. I am a mom of 6 a grandmother of 11. I need to get healthy for so amny reasons and they are too nurmerous to list. The main one is that my brother died@46 and my father died @63 of massive coronaries. My two older brothers have both had heart attacks, so I am very afraid. I also had a grandmother die of a stroke and one in a diabetic coma, so watching my weight maybe beginning late but better late than never.
Other Information:
I love to quilt, crochet,cross stitch and to read. I crochet for HAP which provides afghans for those service personnel wounded in the current war. I love mysteries and most authors that write them.
