Keep Your Focus

My attention to exercise really began in college when I started cycling. To me, to be a real cyclist, I had to ride 100 miles in one day - so I did. My attention to exercise really began in college when I started cycling. To me, to be a real cyclist, I had to ride 100 miles in one day - so I did. I did that several times throughout the years and then I got bored. I discovered weight lifting and enjoyed the benefits that the weights brought me. Then I discovered running. Now, I am still not sure that I enjoy running, but I have completed 4 marathons over the years. This past year I completed my fourth marathon - only to realize that I did not lose a single pound of weight in all of that training. To look at me, most people would say I am in great shape - and physically speaking, I guess I am, but something is missing for me. I want to LOOK like an athlete. See, in my mind - throughout the years- I believed what people told me - that since I was exercising so much, I could eat and drink whatever I wanted. Well, since turning 40, I realize now that it is not true. Now I am focused on eating right, exercising to gain muscle, to build that athletic figure that I know I can be!!


Current Status:
ANNEMARGAR Today is day two in Savannah, GA - expecting another hot one today. Trolly tour some house tours and exercise planned for today!

Thanks for the comment on my page! Great job on the 50 miler. Is it the weekend of the 28th? I'm doing a sprint triathlon that day, but training is pretty sporadic... Just ordered a new bike, so I better be riding A LOT once I get it. I had actually planned to ride both yesterday and today, but we have rain, so planning on tomorrow. Hope you enjoy the ride once you get back. P.S. I've added you, hope that's OK.
