I've actually found things I like to do and I'm focusing on becoming better at them instead of trying to lose weight - the changes to my weight and shape will happen as a result of my determination to because faster, stronger, more flexible. It's no longer about the scale - it's about training to be a faster runner, stronger rower, and generally more of an athlete and less of a spectator. I'm lucky enough to have a very supportive sweetie who is constantly encouraging (and sometimes literally pushing me out the door) to run, row and whatever else I need to do to stay healthy, active and happy.

I live in NE Wisconsin, work in finance and can't sit still. I am a soon-to-be step mom to two very active boys, and soon-to-be wife to their just as active dad.
My dog, Hunter, is my personal trainer and the only one in the house who always agrees with me. I also have a crabby black cat named Oliver but he's not into working out.
Animals are such agreeable friends - they ask no questions, they pass no criticisms.

Hope you are getting some nice spring weather. I think we had all ours in March. So far April has been cold! But I'm not complaining. I've seen the SUN and it is wonderful. And May will be here before we know it. Hope you and Hunter (and cats and all) are doing well. Tell Hunter that Mitch and Micah send greetings from Iowa!

I think training for the half-marathons is enough on your plate (figuratively) and you don't need to worry about the rest of the stuff. I need to concentrate on portion control. I'm finally getting in my 10000 steps most days, but something about winter makes me hungry. Sigh.
Forgot about Hunter's balloon phobia! Hope he had grown out of it. I didn't realize he had a phobia about snowmen, too! Glad he's over that one. Give him a hug. Micah is suffering from arthritis now, and it is good for him to walk, but he really HATES the stairs -- and we have a lot of them. Poor pup. I haven't found anything helpful for him yet.

Thanks, Anne. Your New Year's Eve sounds pretty much like ours, but I lasted slightly longer. Still it was restful! Hope you have a great year. Sounds as if there are big things planned! Enjoy. Hugs to Hunter.
