As we begin the new 5% Challenge, I feel strong and hopeful, but most of all, I am committed. I can and will do this.
Relying on feelings does not always work. Motivation can ebb and flow. That's where commitment kicks in and carries me to the next mountaintop. Each success fuels motivation. Encouraging others also stokes my motivation. Sometimes the encouragement I give others is exactly what I need to hear today.

There are people who set a course and never waver. Unfortunately I am a yo-yo. My journey has included winning streaks and gaining streaks, high motivation periods and wandering in la-la land.
At this point I not only have to lose the extra pounds I was carrying when I joined Spark, but also the weight I've gained since then. I have a head full of knowledge and years of experiencing what works and what doesn't.
It is not an all or nothing journey. It's a journey of many steps.

Stop worrying about what you have to lose and start focusing on what you have to gain. - KURTZIE1998

Mobility is fragile. Had 5 hip surgeries (including 2 total hip replacements). Then broke hip in 2014. Now using a rollator part of the time. At times it is challenging going from sitting to standing. I have to use taller chairs.

Started 2016 weighing 63 pounds over my Spark 2006 starting weight. I am a yo-yo with weight loss and regain.

June 17, 2016. Recommit to stay under top of calorie range. Make healthier food choices...more fruits and vegetables. Limit white stuff, especially flour products. Aiming for no soda or chocolates.

July 8, 2016 Goal for the rest of this year is to get back to my Spark starting weight. Concentrate on maintaining each loss. IndyGirl Beth says, Lose, maintain, don't regain.

I blog primarily for motivation, encouragement and knowledge sharing.

Thank you so much for the goodie & hug!
Smokey was doing better by Wednesday, but not acting right again. Different this time, acting like he has a bad tooth. So I called the vet again & will take him back in the morning.
Trying to give him lots of lovies.
    Have a good weekend!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. I want to stop feeling like I'm flailing too. That's why I've given myself a sit down for a think. *nods with you*

    Happy Sunday!
I hope your day is off to a great start! I used my rebounder, had a healthy breakfast, cleaned the kitchen & am planning meals for the week.
I still haven't found a way to get to the SP Dinner Planner on the SP website, but I did save it as a bookmark & that is easier than going to my blog. It's such a great tool, apparently not many people know about it.
    We are off to Madagascar!

I don't consider "miss by less than a pound" as not reaching your goal. Less than one pound is like a daily fluctuation. It is nothing... you made it Sweety. Onward to our next challenge where you will, of course, lose another 5%.
