As we begin the new 5% Challenge, I feel strong and hopeful, but most of all, I am committed. I can and will do this.
Relying on feelings does not always work. Motivation can ebb and flow. That's where commitment kicks in and carries me to the next mountaintop. Each success fuels motivation. Encouraging others also stokes my motivation. Sometimes the encouragement I give others is exactly what I need to hear today.

There are people who set a course and never waver. Unfortunately I am a yo-yo. My journey has included winning streaks and gaining streaks, high motivation periods and wandering in la-la land.
At this point I not only have to lose the extra pounds I was carrying when I joined Spark, but also the weight I've gained since then. I have a head full of knowledge and years of experiencing what works and what doesn't.
It is not an all or nothing journey. It's a journey of many steps.

Stop worrying about what you have to lose and start focusing on what you have to gain. - KURTZIE1998

Started 2016 weighing 63 pounds over my Spark 2006 starting weight. I am a yo-yo with weight loss and regain.

Annie... it's nice hearing from you. Congrats on making your 5%. I made mine by the third week, but have since been going up and down on my weight even though there was only one time I went over my calorie limit of 1,350 and that was by only 10 calories. uggh. You will have to tell me what you are planning after this challenge. Are you staying with the monarchs? I haven't decided what I want to do yet. I have really upped my exercise which is why I went with the WJR&G... but I don't feel at home there. stay strong.
