"Trying" is not an option, DOING is.
Up, down, up down. I've done this before. I've been here before. I had my wonderful daughter in 2011 and with her, I gained about 70 pounds. I was at an all-time high and I was obese before I even got pregnant with her. In July of 2012 I finally had enough. I had enough of my excuses. I had enough of being weak and not fit. I had enough of not fitting into all my old clothes. I had enough of looking in the mirror, not recognizing myself. Since then I've lost all the pregnancy weight, plus another 30 pounds. Right now, as of January 2013, I am down to my wedding weight, which is where I am "starting" to feel comfortable. But realistically, I still have about 100 pounds to lose before I am where I want to be and where I can safely be called "healthy". My journey has been a great one though. The most important thing I have learned is not to give up, even when I messed up. Just get back on the horse and work a little bit harder. I tell myself every day that it doesn't matter how long it takes until I reach my goal weight - the only important thing is that I keep on going forward, not backwards.
