Over Halfway There!

I'm 30 years old and married. I work as a veterinarian and I've got 2 dogs and a cat. Since I've started sparkpeople I've lost 25kg and hope to lose 15kg more. I'm back to the weight I was in my early 20s and I have become a runner again. I love how I look and feel now. I love the things I can do now that I am fit again. I can't wait to reach my goal weight but now that I'm back to a size 10 I'm focusing on being patient with weight loss, building muscle, running faster and further and building long term healthy eating habits I can maintain. I don't succeed everyday but the important thing is that I keep trying.

Thank you for your comments on my last race blog. Yes, it is okay to race after being sidelined. You simply have to adjust your expectations to fit your level of readiness on raceday.

Hi! Wasn't sure about the platypus, but had an idea they were further north on the eastern side. Thanks for that on the comment on my blog.

There used to be a lot of wild platypus around in the streams when I was a kid, but I moved from the country to the suburbs many lifetimes ago now, and would guess that things have changed eco wise up country after all this time.

I am heading to northern Australia in June, woo hoo, and can't wait to see the Daintree, Reef, etc. You lot have plenty of goodies to tempt a Taswegian.. especially in the Winter time.

Hi there,
I have been meaning to drop you a note sooner about the Barossa run, sorry :( I have been really slack on here lately. Hope you have good results at the physio on Wednesday, let me know what you are doing..and most certainly I would love it if we could do something after the run..it is your vacation time so you decide :) I am sure my hubby will know somewhere in the area to go. We have the color run next week, I can't wait!!!
See you soon!!! emoticon

Hey Aussie Anna.. I am ALREADY impressed so toooo late!!
I had a good read of a 100k, 50K trail challenge/race over my way up in the Lake District..... mmm maybe a future goal for me. I could do the 50 K with a ton of training... so that would be a first goal. Who knows!!!
