Hey my name is April,I'm 23 and live in the woods lol. I've pretty much struggled with my weight for the last 10 years. As soon as I hit that "puberty" teenage stage,my body went wacko on me. It's taken some time and the effort of going through many failed techniques,healthy and not,to gain control of my own body. The heaviest I have ever been was 210 lbs. in 2007. After reaching that weight I joined weight watchers and lost 20 pounds,getting to about 190-186,and then I quit. It was a difficult time in my life and I don't think I was at the point in my life to really commit and take care of myself,I was too busy being upset and angry and blaming myself. But since then I have become a much better version of myself. I found SparkPeople in January of this year(2010) and joined that very night. i really haven't looked back since. I am fully committed to myself and my health. Yes loosing weight and looking good in a bathing suit are absolutely motivating factors lol,but being healthy and fit is also a big factor as well. And I think that is the main difference this time. I want to be healthy and live a good life with a strong body and minimal health issues. I don't want to have to go through some of the health issues I have seen family and friends go through. So that's a brief version of my weight loss story and why I'm here. I'm fully dedicated this time,to myself,for myself.

These are some things I have accomplished so far and some things I hope to accomplish in the near future. ^_^

~1/2 way to my goal weight!
~Lost more than 15 pounds,heading for 20!
~Pants that were TIGHT at Christmas are loose!
~Finished C25K Program!
~Starting to like what I see in the mirror and gain confidence in myself!( That's a big one! =] )

~Reach the 170's in April!(Done 4/19/10!)
~Complete C25K!(Done 5/6/10!)
~Run my first 5K in May!
~Get into the "skinny" pants hiding in my closet!

My Goals:
I want to lose weight. I want to look in the mirror and smile. I want to wear ANYTHING I want and KNOW I look good in it. I want to be healthier and happier.
~Reach 170's this month! (Done 4/19/10!)
~Complete C25k! (Done 5/6/10!)
~Run first 5K May 16th!
~Wear bathing suit this summer!

My Program:
~Tracking my calories daily in my journal,stay within healthy calorie range.
~Eat 6-8 fruits and veggies daily.
~Weigh-In once a week.
~Allow one break day every week from exercise,food,and tracking.It works for me.

Personal Information:
I'm April,I'm 23.I live in P.A. I am 5'9,one of the tall ones lol. I've got a great boyfriend that forgets everything,an awesomely dumb cat that doesn't realize she has claws or teeth,and a snake that likes to try and eat all of her mice a$$ first.

Other Information:
I LOVE riding my bike,it's a 2007 Kawasaki Ninja zx6r. I am officially sick of winter, I no longer see anything good about it,I want spring and summer. I'm a reader, if I find a good enough book, all I will do is read it until I have finished it. TATTOOS=AWESOME. I have 9 and fully plan on getting more.I love movies,all genres! My favorites are probably the ones from the 30's to 50's though,Betty Davis,Katharine Hepburn,Spencer Tracey,and Cary Grant are my very favorites! ^_^

    I crashed and burned, fell off the wagon and am jumping back on 5 pounds heavier. Who the fuhk gains 5 pounds in 2 months? Jeeze. Glad to see you back on here.

    Hey! So glad to see you back here. I too have fallen off the wagon quite a lately, so don't beat yourself up. Great to hear that the working out is still going well...and the food will come back. Remember, you are only one person you can't fix the world in one day. Just take one step at time. Trust me, I've seen how hard you can work, so I don't doubt for a minute that it will all fall into place again in good time. Keep on it. I know you can do it! Have fun too :)

    Everyone gets off track every once in a while... as long as you pick up where you left off and continue on the track then you are good to go! I cant tell you how many times I have fallen off the wagon... but... just be consistant... never give up. Its great your back!
    I have been really well! I have had a bit of trouble losing lately but I am just sticking to it and trying to get past this dry spell.
    My gym membership is one of the best investments I have made this past year. A gym membership is a great thing to have! I love working out... plus the motivation you get from the other gym goers is great. Your all working on one thing.. to be strong and healthy.
    So glad you are back!
