If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you

Hi Spark Peeps! My name is April and I have lost more than 60 pounds utilizing the spark people resources. I have a few more to go.

My best advice is to use all the tools that spark people provides, and put as much effort into those tools as you can, and you will see results. My best advice is to use all the tools that spark people provides, and put as much effort into those tools as you can, and you will see results. I believe that if you want to change your body you need to do things differently. Be open to change. Change your mind, change your behaviors, and change your life. Are you willing to do whatever it takes to have a healthy body and mind? If you truly want to change, you will need to step out of your comfort zone, and not just temporarily. You will need to embrace change and make those changes for life. Stop looking for a quick fix.

If you join teams here on spark people, you will get out of it as much as you put into it. Don't just click the button to join. Actually get involved in team challenges. In fact, make sure you join a team that has active challenges that actually will challenge you! And don't do it half *ssed. Give it 100% effort and you will see results. Be honest, do the work, and see results.

And this is my best advice: work on yourself from the inside out. Look inside yourself and figure out what is going on inside. Deal with those things and you can and will have lasting change. But it will take 100% commitment and you need to be willing to admit you need to change. That what you have been doing, your lifestyle up till now, needs to change. And you need to be patient with yourself, and kind, and you will need to persist.

And never, ever give up. It is worth it. Your health is worth it. You are worth it.

My Goals:
To get to a healthy weight and maintain it.

To live a long, healthy, active, fun, happy life with my husband.

My Program:
Plant based whole foods, transitioning slowly to more raw meals. Incorporating as many raw organic fruits and veggies as possible.

I like to shake things up and try new workouts often.

Just joined a yoga studio and am practicing yoga regularly now.

Also working the Bob Harper Black Fire program on the Daily Burn site.

Lots of walking

Just tried stand up paddle boarding and hope to do it often. Great workout and fun!
