Believe in Yourself

I have a real problem believing I can do something. Years of scars in that department. I just have to start something and finish it. This is my year to do just that! Tired of starting over and over and over again. I have to commit to exercise and healthy eating and that's all there is to it.

Update... it is now October 2014 and I have started over yet again. I am determined more than ever to lose weight because my health is a slave to my excess weight. Tired of being tired. ...

Holidays are coming! Here are some tips to help you “maintain” when temptation strikes:
1. Eat something small and healthy before the “big meal”.
2. Exercise every day – even the holiday. Take the family with you.
3. It’s ok to have dessert, but only a SMALL one.
4. Track what you eat. If you have to put it in writing and be accountable, you’ll be less tempted to overeat.
5. Downsize your portions – especially of the high-calorie dishes.
6. Save calories for food you love and don’t eat the things you don’t “LOVE” just because they’re there or because it’s tradition.
7. Spend more time talking with your loved ones and friends instead of eating.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Don't Give Up!

"A 'no' and a 'yes' are all it takes to lose weight. Say 'no' to sitting on the couch; say 'yes' to working out. Say 'no' to crazy diet plans; say 'yes' to freshly cooked meals. Say 'no' to your naysayers; say 'yes' to your inner voice." (Unknown)

Follow Your Dream
by: Amanda Bradley
Follow your dream.
Take one step at a time and don't settle for less,
Just continue to climb.
Follow your dream.
If you stumble, don't stop and lose sight of your goal
Press to the top.
For only on top can we see the whole view,
Can we see what we've done and what we can do;
Can we then have the vision to seek something new,
Press on.
Follow your dream.

"Imagine that day, when you can finally say, 'I never gave up. I never quit.' Imagine the day when you win a gold medal or reach your goal weight. Imagine these moments of pain as mere memories. It might take a long time to reach that moment, but as soon as you get there, you'll thank yourself for the rest of your life." (Unknown)
