Primal blueprint does sound very similar Kathleen.

l only ever eat wholemeal brown bread, 2 slices from a 400g small loaf or else a 35g portion of porridge oats.
l try to have either of them daily to keep by carb level up.
l also have two ounces of bran daily, keeps me regular...lol...as a fruit and vegetable heavy diet does tend to back you up!

l do eat red meat but to be quite honest l can live without it.
l tend to choose chicken, turkey or fish and shellfish...l do have lots of fish, l was brought up on it being a fisherman's daughter!

l try to keep my fats to a minimum but l do have them, they're essential in a good diet as are the other dairy products.
l have at least one portion of milk, yoghurt or cheese per day...good for my bones etc.

After a bit of research l worked out what l thought l needed to eat for all round health then showed it to my doctor, she sent it to a nutritionalist and with just a couple of tweaks to my portion sizes it was approved.
l began using it on November 1st 2013 and a year later l feel fantastic.
The added bonus was the weightloss, l've always been sturdy but gained a lot of weight with the treatments l was on and coupled with a broken kneecap l couldn't exercise.
As soon as l began to feel better l began walking and now religiously do five miles a day throughout the week but more on week-ends when my DH and l go birdwatching as we've always done.

The medication l was on stopped when l was given the all clear for the cancer, l'm now medication free and intending to stay that way.
lt's been a long five years of treatments and medication but l've worked through it and am now living a healthy and happy lifestyle.

Nice to meet you.
Thankyou so much for the lovely words and encouragement on my blog.

l'm not sure if you read my other blog 'l can't believe it' but you will see l have had a few health problems which resulted in allergies after my immune system slumped.

Things l had eaten for years suddenly decided to attack me and l ended up unable to breathe properly.

Whilst in hospital l had various tests and it was found l was allergic to latex, lettuce, pineapple, kiwi fruit and balsamic vinegar with intolerances to sugars and honey.
I still didn't know of the artificial sweetener allergy then, that came later after trouble with my bile duct.

Now the only form of sweetness l can eat is raw brown cane sugar and that's disgusting so l don't bother which effectively cuts all sweetness from my diet apart from the sugars l get from fruits and vegetables.

l googled the Primal Blueprint diet and it sound very similar to the one l have devised for myself...no junk, no sugar, eat wholemeal bread, limited fats and drink 3 litres of water a day (l had a kidney complaint and was advised to do this...l'm now fit and well but have continued with the water intake...either hot or cold water, I don't drink tea or coffee)
l've now lost a total of 8 stones 4lbs and l'm very happy with what l'm doing and plan to stay healthy from now on.

l live in Yorkshire, on the East coast.
l was born into a fishing family but now live a few miles inland in a small village where l came to live many years ago after my marriage.
l have the best of both worlds.
