A little less Amy

I came to SparkPeople on August 20, 2012 weighing 250 lbs. I lost 33 lbs by the end of 2012.

2013 is going to be a great year. We have a cruise with family planned for spring break, a beach trip in the summer, and a theater trip to New York for my 40th birthday. I want to go on all these adventures happy and confident.

2013 Goals:
* Complete 3 5ks : The first one is in April 2013
* Get more flexible and stronger by doing Bikram Yoga
* Complete one yoga challenge (doing yoga 5 days a week for a month).
UPDATE:
First 5k complete! 4/20/13

Monthly Goals:
January - Run 26 miles: COMPLETE!
February - Improve my 3 mile pace by 1 minute - COMPLETE!
March - Survive travel without gain - COMPLETE!
April - Run first 5k - COMPLETE!
April - July - Embracing 40 challenge

My Program:
I gave up most sugar and flour in August 2012. I started jogging and doing yoga soon after.

In January 2013, I started at Week 5 of Couch to 5k (before that I was doing my own interval running program).

At the end of January I finished C25K.

Personal Information:
I am from Alabama, have three daughters and work full time.

I came to sparkpeople because I am pre-diabetic and want to get healthier and reduce my blood sugar. For now, I have cut all bread, pasta, and sugar from my diet.

I struggle with cooking at home for myself, my husband and three picky kids.

Hey there! I wish we had some good pictures from the race--instead we just have dorky self-snapped head shots of ourselves at the start line and then enjoying post-race lattes. But nothing with the numbers on our chests! Silly! I should have followed your example!
