Operation Onederland by 30 is in effect!

A few of the pounds I lost last year have crept back on (6lbs to be exact) It's fine that it happened! The holidays were fun and I started dating again after the divorce which means lots of meals in restaurants. I am having a blast and still feel so much better than I did 70lbs ago. But now it's time to get serious again. I have 107 days until I turn 30 (on May 12th) and I need to be under 200lbs for the first time since my freshman year of high school to ring in the new decade of my life. ...

I have just over 15 weeks so I need to lose an average of 2lbs a week to give me a decent cushion. I can do this!!

My goal is to keep living my life in the fast lane, out loud and burning like a roman candle. I have been called crazy a few times since I started finding myself again and I can't take it as anything but the highest of compliments

My Program:
Living life like a boss! Rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, warrior dash, tough mudder, whatever the hell I want to, bitches!

Personal Information:
I'm 29 and currently going through a divorce but I can't help but see it as a new beginning instead of the end. I don't know what's next for me, but the possibilities are endless!

Hi and thanks for the question. I've been a tad pre-occupied, sorry for not getting back to you faster. I have never run a tough muddier but know several who have. Since it is much more than a road race, I would pick out a shorter mud race such as a warrior dash just to get a feel for it.

There are also a lot of varied dynamics taking place other than simply running. Sprains and strains are pretty common in events like that. I would make sure that you have strong stability and core training as well as agility and upper body strength.

They are totally unlike a regular road race and involve a very high level of functional fitness. When you run, if you have access to one, I would strongly advise training on a trail and pick out one with varied and challenging terrain to train your stability and get you ready for the challenge of running 10 miles over uneven terrain.

I hope you will check out Eat to Live. If you google the name of the book or of the author, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, you will probably get more insight in what it's about. I think it may fit in quite well with the knowledge you already have and your preference for a vegan-ish lifestyle.
