Sunshine versus Twilight

My ideal day:

Wake up. Eat oatmeal and black coffee in the early morning sunshine. Do something that involves sweating heavily. Work either my creative job or my productive-official-looking job. Eat a zillion delicious plant-heavy things. Come home to beer, fresh hot bread, and a roasted chicken which I tear apart with bear hands while growling happily. Read myself to sleep with a cup of calming tea or some night yoga for digestion.

So why isn't that day today? There's ...

So why isn't that day today? There's honestly no reason it can't be, except that I keep flunking it up by having cream cheese frosting as my "lunch" or rolling around in a lethargic mess rather than putting my energies into sweating or work.

Well NO MORE! Every day is an opportunity to be the person you've been dreaming of. As Thomas Banyacya says, "We are the ones we have been waiting for."

My Goals:
I want to treat weightloss with grace. Grace is a big deal to me and it is pivotal to my faith. While a rewards-based system is fun and incentivizing, I need a few radical changes to reflect my personality. For example:

I get a fancy lululemon tank as a gift to myself, whether I feel like I "earned it" or not.

I'll be getting my first tattoo for my birthday, whether I feel like my body is "good enough" for it or not.

Every day ends and is a chance to try again the following day. Don't carry the weight of yesterday into today.

My Program:
Sometimes tracking food to check in with my intake, but mostly I'll try to keep it to personal accountability. Am I eating a variety of green planty things? Am I drinking all the water?

Using the trifecta of Runkeeper, Fitocracy and Gympact to track and incentivize my cycling commute and other cardio work outs.

Yoga-ing with friends as often as possible!

Personal Information:
I'm a 26yo Chicago woman who loves people but sometimes curls up inside herself and makes bad choices. I know what I look like when I am living my best life, and I want to look like that more often. Size doesn't matter.

Other Information:
I'm a Christian. I'm currently reading Anne Lamott, Madeline L'Engle, Annie Dillard and C.S. Lewis for strength and meditation.
