My last journey to weight loss

Having always been an athletic person as a child and teen, I was a svelt 140lbs. at 18 years old and paid little attention to what or how much I ate. After gaining the proverbial freshman "fifteen" and then some in college, I took my first waitressing job and walked off 20 lbs without trying and was back at 150 in no time. Then came the first baby at 20. Since then, I have struggled with weight loss consistently over the last 15 years, having been mildly successful once and losing 27 pounds but ...
Since then, I have struggled with weight loss consistently over the last 15 years, having been mildly successful once and losing 27 pounds but ultimately landing at 180 lbs. After my second pregnancy, I ballooned to 240 lbs and lost 40 in the first 3 months from being very sick post partum. I have since attempted weight loss 2 times over the last 2 years losing about 17 pounds. After an ankle injury that kept me out of the gym for 6 weeks, I found it very difficult to get back in the swing of things and am now back at square one. I think my wake up call came when finding that my blood sugar was climbing and my husband was started on blood pressure medications. We are both fairly young parents (30s) and have decided that we want to change our lifestyle so we can watch our children grow and be an active part of their lives.

¸.•♥´ .•´¨¨ ¸´¸.•´¨Welcome to the EE team!!
I’ve belonged to a lot of teams here on spark-- i really do believe that the Emotional Eaters team is one of the very best, it’s a great group of people- very supportive and encouraging-- and it is very refreshing to talk with people who "get" what you're going through!! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*¸.•´¸.•*¨¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨) ¸.•*¨)
Check out the main page of the EE team- there are “stickied” topics you may be interested in to get involved- a buddy thread, a place to introduce yourself, weigh-in challenge, a birthday post. ¸.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*¨(¸.•´ (¸.•´ (¸.•´¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥. ¸.•♥´ .•´¨¨ ¸´¸.•´¸.•*¨)¸¸.•´ ..•-~'¸.•*¨)
Spark has a lot of great tools, and you will learn which ones work best for you. The best tools are the people tho, always willing to lend a hand, an ear, or a shoulder. I’ve been here for over a year now, and I still am overwhelmed, every day, by the kindness and goodness of others on this team!! That has made a world of difference for me. I hope you have the same success! ¸¸.•¨¸♥¨`*,¸.•*´¨`*• .¸♥.*.•*¨¸.•´¸.•*
