My weight loss journey began long ago. I often wonder why it still continues to be as necessary as it is and why I have so very long a journey ahead of me! I'll tell ya why: because I'm human! I'm 41yrs old, have Poly-Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, a Traumatic Brain Injury w/ physical disabilities resulting and am still determined and actively losing these unwanted pounds! I am a Team Co-Leader for the Can't Do This On My Own team, a member of other teams and active Sparker who you will see posting ...

My Goals:
After giving my child for adoption 20yrs ago I want to be healthy and fit the day I get to meet him. This may never actually happen, but Ben, I'm trying....He lost 40lbs to qualify for and be sworn into the U.S Marine Corps-if he can do it: you'd bet I can!!

My Program:
Started eating gluten free foods about 6 months ago and love how I'm feeling after being introduced to them. First weigh in after I began eating this way showed a 5.8lb loss! I am building my exercise daily and WILL get to my goal of losing 50lbs by my b-day on 5/29/2015!!

Personal Information:
Living in N.Adams ,Ma. and loving it! Have been here for 4.5 yrs after growing up in Wilmington, Ma where I lived for 30+ yrs. Have lived in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey- England, and Atlanta, Ga. U.S.A as well!

Other Information:
I am a TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) survivor and have just celebrated 21yrs of still being alive. I learned to walk, talk, eat and be potty trained again at age 19....not easy, but I did them all! Time to learn how to eat again...the best way for my body!

Hi
Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking the time to comment.

My 'student' is next door's eldest son, he's 12 and a bit all over the place. He is well into his music. Likes rock and bands that I have never heard of like One Direction :-D Bless him. I had to look them up. Rock, they ain't. His Mum and I are great mates and gym buddies. I don't mind teaching him as long as he doesn't take the Mick. His Mum is buying my old old Strat (No-name copy) from me, for the lad. He enjoys guitar and is frustrated that he can't play it. The reason that he can't play it is because he doesn't listen. He is keen but inattentive. His Mum suspects that he is on the Autism Spectrum but the School and powers that be refuse to test him.

The Housing Association, legally have a 42 day deadline from when the paperwork goes into either City Hall or their offices. My paperwork and our swap partner's paperwork went in to City Hall on the 31st July. Legally they should be allowing us to move on the weekend of the 12th/13th September. However, they cannot get their act together and we could cause a right fuss, but won't. It's looking like the 25th/26th now. That's fine with me really, as it will give swap partner time to save up for her half fo the van that we suspect that she is expecting me to pay for. I have told her that I will not pay for her move and that she needs to stash some money away. It will give us longer to save up for nice things for the flat and to put money away for a rainy day.

My Aunt has PCOS and fought with her weight for years. She won in the end and said that it was worth the battle. The hospital did something with her overaries, fixed them (not sure how but they did) and all the healthy eating paid off.

Best wishes
Raff
