Last year, after several decades of being over weight, then very overweight, I reached a point where I had lost 5st. This year, through stress, lack of exercise and mindless sugar binging I've put it nearly all back on. I don't love food and it certainly doesn't love me and at times my sweet tooth feels like a runaway train! I'm back calorie counting, being more mindful about what I'm eating and thought it might be helpful to write about the coming ups and downs.
To lose 3st

Trying to stay within 1200 calories per day.
Balanced meals without falling prey to healthy snacks.
Cycling and walking, plus re-starting a regular fitness routine.
More of a plan will take shape as my journey progresses
I'm an artist, I work with the community and on personal projects on a freelance basis.
I have a loving partner (who is the very devil about calories!) and a fabulous dog.
No children but my partner has three boys (all now young men)
I live in the East Midlands in the UK
I love art, literature, history, film and the power of the transformative power of the imagination.
I'm very untidy and my nickname is 'Wreck a room in seconds' but out of the seeming chaos often comes something beautiful or unusual.

I collect too many things

We have some similar interests.
I have my two dogs and enjoy walking, I like art ( it was a favourite subject in school, many years ago ) and I enjoy reading when I go away. Especially when I'm getting my Vitamin D, by the poolside
I too have been making the effort to get back to a regular exercise routine since August, apart from my strolls with my babies, Sooty and Merlin and would love to re-sculpt and slim my body along the way. Lose a few 'spare tyres' !!!
