1/4/2009 9:45:41 AM need a pep talk! You and I seem a lot alike. I am overweight and very lazy. I had a bunch of surgeries and sitting on my butt made me lazier! But you and I are about the same age and weight. WE CAN DO IT!!! I signed up for the bootcamp challenge today. I figure that even if I don't finish everything, I am still benefiting. I will be moving more and eating less. Anything you can do will help! Park further away at the stores and walk inside. Take the stairs not the elevator (tough because I get out of breath but I do it). If you have stairs in your home, go up and down them 10 times a day to start. You can make a difference in your life!! You totally deserve it!! Pep talk yourself works. Look in the mirror and say that you are great and worth more! Smile when you hurt and drink lots of water! If you will drink as much water as you can drink after a workout, you will be less sore. It flushes the lactic acid out of the muscle tissue which is the stuff that leaves soreness. Take care and I will be checking on your progress! I have lost 9 pounds total!!! You can too! emoticon emoticon

Hi! I know that this can seem like an overwhelming task when you have a lot of weight that you want to lose, but, I can tell you from experience that you CAN do it. It doesn't have to be difficult. Little changes add up and make a HUGE difference. If you normally eat 2 donuts for breakfast, have one and a piece of fruit. Things like that. When I first started out, I felt like you do. I didn't want to change the way I was eating and I HATED to exercise. I told myself I only had to walk 15 minutes a day. Before long I found I love walking and now 15 minutes is just not long enough. Maybe walking isn't the exercise that you will stick with, but, keep trying different things until you find something that you like and you will be able to stick with. Consistence is really the key. One pound at a time. One day at a time.

We'll be here for you! Just yell when you need a little extra support.
