Training for Indy!

Hi, I'm Beth! I'm 34 years old and the mom of four wonderful children! I have been a member of Spark for over 4 years now and just love it here.

I love & need support and encouragement that Spark offers. With four children and going to school full-time it can be very busy and very stressful.

Right now I am in full-swing training to run my first half marathon on May 3rd with my BFF. I am also starting Turbo Fire on 2/3/14.

At LEAST 10 minutes of exercise daily! Once you hit 10, who wants to stop?!

Good morning!

Omg the kids don't have school today and I had no idea! haha So I lucked out and ended up getting both Kayla and Kv to go with Gma for Meals On Wheels. I just have the last one and she is quietly playing Sims. That means I get at least 3 good hours of whatever I want! And we all know what that is right? Yes. A GOOD WORKOUT!

No soccer this weekend. I don't have plans, just looking after dad and making sure Linda is good. Kay and Mai are going to Gma Carole's for a few hours on Sunday and then I'll go pick them up and they will join the rest of us for dinner at our Gma's.

Just gonna be dying eggs Sat and I still have to pick up something for Easter baskets. So I'll be running around town tonight or tomorrow.

Hair help. You can totally go buy a kit at the store. Just make sure you don't go back to black. You need a dark brown or yes Dark redbrown to bring out the color in your skin. I love the Feria brand, I used to use it all the time. Check this out:

They have a Ombre that I think you will like. Maybe you could enlist the help of Emily to get the job done without to much hassle.

Enjoy your breakfast!

Hi! Hope you are having a good afternoon. I just got back from a 9Round, good workout. I'm glad I went because I wasn't feeling very strong but now I do.

I didn't go up to the hospital today. And bummer because no I didn't get to sleep in. I woke up at 7 with a head ache but I laid in bed till 8 scrolling Tumblr.

I have managed to get some much needed stuff done around the house, including a bathroom, laundry, short grocery trip and reg kitchen clean up. Also as a bonus got to watch the new RHOrange county betches! This season will be good.

So pace on the road is harder because the terrain very's and you don't get the help of the TM belt pushing you forward. landing on pavement is harder than landing on TM but you will get used to it. Have faith.

I'm not going to run today. I need to check my email and see if soccer practice is still on. It was drizzle rain when I walked out of 9.

Sprry to confus about the L and L! haha. I didn't think about that but I knew you would catch on.

I haven't called our hotel yet but I need too! I really honestly can not wait to get out of town for awhile. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a fish bowl.

Oh yeah, eating clean has been going great. I've slipped up a little here and there but for the most part I've been really good. I've definitely upped my salad and chicken intake. I need to still purchase a few things like whole grain stuff. Trying to get all the way of white flour and sugar. We'll find out how good I've done these last two weeks when I get my body fat % on Monday, cross yo fingers.

I'm really digging the whole clean food way of eating though. I've never been a fan of Atkins or those other fancy eating plans. This clean eating is just common sense really.

So Kayla is home now and there is a world war breaking out up stairs .... ugh gotta go!

12:38 am and I an sleeping in this morning. See I'm snoozing right now. emoticon Hopefully I'm having sweet sweet dreams too.

So the surge went great. It was the first case scenario, small cut that sh1t out and reattached the line. Dr said it was a tumor and sent it off for biopsy. Also said that it was a very rare place for cancer to show up. I hope its not cancer. We will get those results back next Wed.

Was at the hospital all day and had a complete anxiety attack when I first arrived. I got a little turned around plus traffic getting there. It was just all to much. When I finally found my dad I couldn't help but just melt a little and cry a few. He knows I have anxiety and I just sat their beside him on the bed and have him give me the arm around the shoulder tug hug and here him say "it's okay now honey" with a little laugh and smile. I felt instantly better after that. Got my breathing calmed down and contained tears.

To make situation worse L called about 15 minutes after I got there. She told dad she was feeling weak and having a hard time breathing. Said she thought she needed to go back to the hospital. So get this a few other things happen and then at the end of their convo she asks my dad if there are any more cigarettes in the house. My dad was like "well that;s really stupid L. You can't do anything and think you need to go to the hospital and you want to go have a cig." She hung up on him, lol.

Anyways long story short cause I can fill you in when we meet. She's fine. I took care of the situation and made she to have not only me call and check in her but Gma too. I want L to know that we care about her too health too. I'm not saying what I want to when I think about judging this situation but I think she does this for attention. I encouraged her to be strong and reminded her how dad was strong for the 3 months she was in the hospital. He was going through chemo and radiation plus taking care of K (grand daughter) plus plus step sister issues and AND he still went almost every day an hour drive to and from the hospital was were she was staying to visit her. That my friend is a strong and committed man. (sorry for the run on sentence)(typos are staying too, if any exist)

So when I get up this morning, I'm going to call L and see if she wants me to take her to see dad.

What a novel.

Awesome 6er! looks like we'll be good to pace with each other in 16 more days!!!! emoticon It's SO close!!! I'm very excited. emoticon

Thanks for the comment on my page. Girl, please don't worry about weight because you are KILLING it with the workouts. When you have a big workout goal like that, you know you are making progress every time you get out there and do it. I need to do better about working out. Food intake is good, just need to do better with working out. I FEEL like I'm working out though, now that I'm chasing Tabby everywhere! She is RUNNING full speed now!

Hey. It's like past mid night and I gotta go to bed but I wanted to let you know how things went today. I was at the hospital all day and then soccer practice and I fit in 9R with L. I've spent the last three hours or so on Tumblr. I had a lot of catching up to do! This is my last stop for the night.

I'm going to hospital again in the morning for his surgery. They think it's a tumor/cancer. Three options. It's small they cut it out. It's to big they bipass it. It's spread all over they can't do anything.

We will find out tomorrow. This sucks but I'm staying positive.

My dad told me today I'm all he's got. He is all I got too. Hand in hand.

Love ya, kill me some workout tomorrow girl. Hope your today was good.

Good night.
