My Goals:
My short term goal is to "feel" better healthwise and to be able to fit back into some of my "smaller" clothes. My long term goal is to make a total commitment to living a healthy lifestyle.

My Program:
Spark People has helped me get back to a daily thinking of what I can do to personally improve my health. Especially, exercise. I still have not mastered getting in enough exercise. With spark's help, hoping to do better! Also, I am fitting in different ways of eating and trying ways that have worked for others.

Hi Barb, I read the comment you left on my Spark Page and was glad to hear from you! I hope you are doing well and getting close to all your goals. The tea pots are really pretty! DH and I have been drinking a lot of tea this year so I noticed the pots right away. He also surprised me with an espresso/cappuccino machine so now when I get home from work and I'm dragging, I make a "trough" of it (very large cup) to get my energy level up so I can make dinner and go walk the dogs with him emoticon

Glad you are enjoying your Sheltie. I think dogs are the absolute model of unconditional love and they definitely deserve the title of Man's Best Friend. We will have to compare doggy notes from time to time. emoticon

Have a great week! Keep in touch! emoticon

Carol

Thanks for the comment on my blog! Yes, my dad is a real character. I could write a book about all his shenanigans! One time my mom had to rush him to the hospital with chest pains. He had a heart attack 20 yrs. ago so she was pretty worried. She called me from the hosp. all upset. They spent 8 hours in the emergency room. Turns out he had a bad case of indigestion. The doctor asked him what he ate before the pains started. At this point he had to confess that he ate an entire box of chocolate truffles that my mother was hiding from him in her underwear drawer. She hid them because they were given to her as a gift and she knew he would eat them all. Meanwhile, he's a tiny little thing. 5'6" 150 lbs. So he doesn't have a weight problem. He just loves candy! His own grandchildren have to hide candy from him!
