Hi Barbara! Thanks so much for your comments and support on my progress blog, and good wishes for my shoulder. I appreciate it! I hope you find the cookbook useful too. My sister just got a used one from Amazon (because she had even worse eating habits than I ever did emoticon ) and while she doesn't follow every meal as written in the book, it's helping her to put things together and have more of a balance. I tend to do the same.. I try to keep to a certain format for myself but I switch the meals around too. Anyway, hope you enjoy! Have a wonderful weekend! emoticon emoticon emoticon Karen

Wow, did you ever get a boat load of snow! It nearly missed us altogether and I am so very grateful for that. Yes, I am lucky to have the well wishes and prayers of so many people - even my children have rallied which is wonderful but a bit surprising. I think they've always seen me as the altogether mom who can manage on her own. It will all be over soon and then I can get on with recovery! Thank you for all the positives, I appreciate it so much.

Thank you for the spark goodie. I so appreciate the kind words. The class tonight was very interesting, but also a bit overwhelming. I am a person who doesn't really want to know too much about the process of things - I want to know how long before I can walk again but not what they have to do to make that happen. Well, I pretty much know it all now and I have to admit, I'm a bit freaked out. But only a bit. I intend to heal as quickly as possible, I have been doing my exercises and will continue that after the surgery. I know I can depend on my husband to help me with whatever I need. We talked tonight about how much he needs to be at the hospital. I think it's best if he just visits me but doesn't have to be with me all the time - he will have to take care of so much after I get home. Only 3 more days to wait. I am so ready for this to be over!
