Very happy with my success thus far.........

2-17-11
I think it's time to update my info to reflect my success the last several months. I have now lost 21 pounds and am well rooted in a daily excercise and eating program. When I (again) began this journey I had no idea what aging does do your metabolism! I am 63 and have never stuck to an exercise and eating program so religiously and lost so little weight weekly. Initially it was so depressing to see only 1/2 to 1 pound come off when I weighed. But after many self lectures I ...

But after many self lectures I am happy for that 1/2 pound that I lost and know that if I was to give up the 21 pounds I've lost would take nano seconds to reappear. Ifeelbetter and have not hada migraine headache in over a month instead of having to take medicatin 3-4 times a month. Such a huge relief after "suffering" thru them for the last 50 years. I am sure that when I have my next blood tests my cholesteral wil down and so will my blood pressure.
For now I plan to keep on doing just what I am doing and will be happy for each and every 1/2 pund I lose.
8-23-10
I am now retired and my main focus for the next several months will be to get rid of my extra weight by paying attention to what I am eating and getting back into an exercise program. My goal is to reduce my cholesterol and blood pressure. I am really excited to see how much I can lower both of these markers and to get to the weight that that I am sure will accomplish this goal. I have lost 6 pounds in the last 5 weeks, am eating better, exercising 4-5 days a week and feeling so much better.

7-11-10
After falling off the track to my weight loss goal I am ready to tackle it again. I will be retiring in 4 days and my weight loss goals will be my primary focus. 7-11-10

All you have is now. It won't be hard. No more excuses I will loose the weight and get back to a healthier lifestyle. I can do it! I am doing it!

Barb--I really liked your comment on Nancy's blog about growing older. You have a great attitude! I am approaching 50 and am trying to find that mental balance and acceptance. I do find a degree of freedom in not having to be someone who attracts looks, because at my best, I won't get those looks anymore. It frees me up to be who I want to be, not who society says I should be.
Sorry to ramble. Have a great week! emoticon
