Back to Normal and Keeping It

Hello. I lost a lot of weight after delivering my second, and final, child in November of 2007. I find my weight bouncing, mostly from the effects of being on Metformin for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, or PCOS. I have that under control. My doctor is pleased as punch with my blood sugar and says that it doesn't seem likely that I'll develop a true Diabetes any time soon. Yay, me! :) :)

Now, my challenge is to keep the weight off for good. I have had recent success with another ...

My Goals:
I have lost all my baby weight, and am now moving again with losing the rest. I am in the ballpark of my original goal of 125 (I'm 128 right now), and now I'm tasting the possibility of 115. We'll see, but I'm up for it! :)

I want to control PCOS and eliminate all threat of diabetes from my life.



My Program:
I have been taking this PCOS business seriously, and my eating habits are changing. I find that even though SparkPeople says I should eat around 1200 calories a day, I find that I usually only eat about 1000--and I'm NOT HUNGRY! I must be doing something right. :) But, I have more to do. So, just to be watchful, here I am. :)

Personal Information:
I live in California. I am a teacher and I have an 11 year old daughter, a 6 year old son, and a wonderful husband.

Other Information:
I am an Irish Step-dancer (think Riverdance) and in the advanced team in my troupe. My daughter is in the mid level of the same troupe. We really enjoy it. :) My son has begun his classes at a different school and loves it, too! We are a dancing family! :)

Thank you for mentioning about ALL sugars. I have corrected my blog. Natural sugar like fruits are ok because it occurs naturally in the food. emoticon

Just checking in to see how you are doing with your goals and getting round SP. Just remember dieting is just like life - there are always ups and downs and different paths. Don't get discourage emoticon .
