Zumba take me away, or at least some pounds!

So after having an active "dancing" life, I quit due to getting running toe, but from hiking. I let "running toe" ruin my active/fun life. That was 2 years ago, and after 2 years of "excuses," I knew I had to make a change.

I didn't want to go out anymore due to the 23 pounds I had gained. I felt "heavy," not necessarily fat, but heavy. I fell into a depression, and although I denied being depressed the outward appearance spoke louder than I wanted too. It seemed everytime I ...

It seemed everytime I sat down, I'd glace at my protruding stomach, and "want" to do something about it; but didn't.

Finally, there was a 10 year "Back to Disco" party I wanted to go to, but feared seeing everyone due to my weight gain, so I decided to participate in a Zumba class twice a week.

So after 7 weeks of Zumba I've lost 9 pounds . . . I'm going to Zumba this weight off everyone. I've posted most receipt pictures of myself and will keep my pictures current as weight comes off.

I'm also getting my bike fixed, so that will be my exercise when I'm not going to Zumba the other 3 days of the week.

My Goals:
I'd like 2012 to be the beginning of loving life at 50 years of age. I know 50 is not old, it just sounds old . . .

I need to revisit the old me, wherein every weekend I'd go out dancing to house music for a min. of 4 hours straight. I haven't gone dancing due to my 20 pound weight gain. I miss dancing . . . therefore I'm going to have to miss some pounds. ;)

My Program:
I'm tracking EVERYTHING I put in my mouth, walking on my two 15 min daily breaks. No matter what!!!!

Personal Information:
I am a trial litigation secretary, work in Downtown Los Angeles, and live in the SGV. I have a daughter who'll be 30 next month, wow how time flys!

Other Information:
Just got a smart phone, so I'll be able to track on the daily, without any excuse . . .

Okay, so I went for my 20 min walk . . . now I don't feel as bad and I gave myself some time to put things into perspective. Now I want some California Rolls, they're filling and not too bad, calorie wise . . . ;)

Thanks for your reply my dear. Nice to know someone's paying attention to me in this arena, hehehehehe.

Cheers, Annette

Thanks for the comment on my blog! It's nice to know I'm not the only one losing a little focus.

No worries. We will BOTH get our motivation back!
