Still climbing . . .

I'm always pushing for the top. Reaching the summit is a passion for me and keeps me going. I'm taking care of ME after many years of taking care of others. I'm finding my passion again. I'm still climbing.

After many years of taking care of others, it's now time to take care of myself. I quit dieting several years ago. While it hasn't gone all that well, dieting didn't either. Step by step I've managed to make major changes to my diet over the years. I believe these changes will gain momentum and I will feel better, lose weight and improve my health.

My Program:
� Eat a mainly plant-based diet (VB6)

� 40 - 80 minutes of aerobic activity daily

� 30 - 40 minutes of stretching and yoga daily

� Participate in the seasonal 5% Challenge

� C25K - 8 week program to running a 5K

� Stay connected to my Spark Friends

� Change my program regularly to stay engaged

I am an 50-something mountaineer, cycler, and neo-runner. I lost my wife to cancer in 2014 after 11 years living with the disease. I live and work in the Seattle area.

I wasn't going to count the horseback riding, but I was simply amazed how many calories Spark People gave for that activity! My muscles sure felt it afterwards. (or maybe that was just bruises...)
