Ahhh Brian I USED to also think "It's to hard to make the 5% goal when you are close." but!!! Than I look at Cheri,,, did you know she almost ALWAYS makes her 5%? That girl has the WORSE health of anyone I know ! I know a TON of disabled people,, but she allows NOTHING to stop her from her goal,, sometimes I worry about it,, than I talk to her, ,and know her Dr's are right there with her. No need to worry.
Because of Cheri , I WILL NOT ALLOW myself to go into the negative thinking. As we lose,,, we gain more and more skills. Take a look back to last year. What changes do you notice from a yr ago, til now? What have you done,, how does it make you feel? Is something(s) bothering you to work on? If so,, how will you accomplish it?
Life is always changing,, sometimes it's simply AWESOME, at other times,,, it helps us to see that emotional eating might still be a problem,, if so,, how we can get a grip on it? I have found other things to do which takes care of the emotions WAY better than eating ! Eating only stuffs my true feelings, but journaling helps me out GREATLY as does exercise,,, crafts, ,and what I've termed as "Angry coloring." Normally i'd NEVER myself to color without ABSOLUTE PERFECTION but ANGRY coloring is ANYTHING GOES !! Outside the LINE?? YOU BET !! The "Wrong" colors,, YOU BET !! Tear the paper,, hmmm that's a HARD one, but YOU BET !!
Yesterdays news was hard ,, very hard. I KNEW I was NOT going to sleep feeling everything sooo jumbled,, awful feeling. So I grab my knee walker,, and went into the hallway,,, WONDEFUL living on a floor with 16 apartments !! At first I did some serious praying,, it helps sooo much to leave things in God's hand. We can't control all the situations we find ourselves facing, but we don't need to go through it alone. I know my family , friends you all care. I DO MUCHLY appreciate it !! I find more often than not, keeping how I truly feel sheltered away. I tend to say things are,,, and ,,,, but, than I almost always make sure whoever I am talking to, in the state of mine, that I am going to be OK. And I WILL be Ok. Still the deepest darkest emotions are there, so prayer is an amazing source of help. I know God cares so deeply. He created us,,, he understands us in ways we don't.
CONGRATS on making ur 5% !! DOES NOT matter that it was a week ,, 3 weeks,,, 4 weeks later,, we DO IT !!! YEAH !! YEAH !! YEAH !!! CONGRATTERS !! KEEP UP the FANTASTIC WORK !! It's EXCELLENT You have a plan which WORKS for you !! Today I did a NO NO !! I watched Dr Phil. LOL that's one of those some of my family/friends do , but we RARELY ADMIT IT to each other !!! Funny how sometimes I'll say "I saw this show,, and this,, this this." and how MANY of them know exactly what I am talking about. LOL Yet NONE of us admit it ! LOL !! It was on a cable channel. It had to do with a lady who weighted around 600 and a man who did 1000 pounds. He than at the very end of the show referred us to of COURSE HIS SITE as he MOSTLY DOES ! To me he's such a BULL CRAP person so in LOVE with himself,,,, thinks he's ALWAYS right,, yeah that's TO MUCH For us, but yet,,, oh a GUILTY PLEASURE ! A lot of what he had on that topic for that show was actually good. Nothing I didn't know,, thanks to sparks, but it DID make me think.
One thing he said,,, and this is what I NEED to do,, set up a plan on exactly what you want to lose. For a week, month, months, for the year in total. That I DID do this year,, and I AM On target ! I weighed 246 on Jan 2nd,,, last Saturday at 208 !! YEAH !!! That's 38 LBS DOWN !! My goal as I set in January is to be between 192 and 196 by the END of Dec !!! Now a goal is to be UNDER 200 during the fall challenge ! YEAH !! What are your specific goals? By what time line? How will you reach this?

Don't panic! September will short, easy blogs (well, that's my plan anyway!). It will be an exercise in literary restraint for me!
