Starting a New Year
Well, I did it! I maintained through the holidays. Only gained a few pounds from Thanksgiving to New Year's. My goal was to stay within 5 lbs. of 232. Not easily done with the way my Mom and Mom-in-law like to cook. Had some overindulgent days but usually one at a time after being a good boy the rest of the week. I started back on the Spark religiously on Jan 2, 2012. Back to calorie counting and exercising on schedule. Now, it is 2 weeks later and I have actually lost all the weight I gained over the holidays. Hope is alive as I press on with a new year on the Spark and losing the next 20 lbs.

My Goals:
My number one goal is to keep my blood sugar levels normal and stay off of the insulin. My second goal is to lose 35 lbs. by my birthday in November. My third goal is to maintain my weight there.
My Program:
My daily plan is to spread out my calories throughout the day so as to not ever feel too hungry. I noticed that I tend to overeat when I let myself get too famished. So far, the Sparks Nutrition guide has been very helpful by showing me just how many non-essential or hidden calories I was taking in. I am also following the Sparks Fitness program religiously and doing cardio alomost everyday.
