I'm BeBarb149. I'm a 60 something woman living in colorful Colorado, almost in the shadow of Pikes Peak. I really need to lose enough weight to get out of the shadow of diabetes, but also would like to be slim and spry again for what ever time I have lelf on this earth.

My Goals:
Eventually, get down to 135-140 lbs and be stronger, more active.

My Program:
Right now I'm limiting my daily calories to between 1275 and 1345. I either walk an hour at 2 mph or work out to a 2 mile walk aerobics DVD most days. I weight train with free weights and am just starting yoga.

Thanks for the comment on my page. I alternate days with the intensity, if I jog one day, I walk the next etc., if I do a 4 mile walk away the pounds one day and a 2 mile the next. At my age and weight, I am prone to injury and I try to avoid that. So far it's worked for me. My weight loss has only been 2 lbs a month on average and that's ok with me finally. By being consistent, I've gotten healthier and that was my goal in the first place. This is a journey for me, not a race.
