Aiming for Size 12

Hi,
I'm BeBarb149. I'm a 60 something woman living in colorful Colorado, almost in the shadow of Pikes Peak. I really need to lose enough weight to get out of the shadow of diabetes, but also would like to be slim and spry again for what ever time I have lelf on this earth.

My Program:
Right now I'm limiting my daily calories to between 1275 and 1345. I either walk an hour at 2 mph or work out to a 2 mile walk aerobics DVD most days. I weight train with free weights and am just starting yoga.

Feeding cattle used ruined my knees back when I had to feed it off the back of a moving truck, but these days it's hard on my back mostly. It's really a matter of being too old for this...

Thanks for the comment. Yes, I've been doing well but lately I've been "coasting" and not as on top of my fitness goals as I want to be. I have some recovery from Thanksgiving as well. So I'm stepping up the exercise and tracking eating more carefully.

Thank you! I had all day yesterday to myself outside of people calling, texting and emailing, being as it was my birthday. :)

I've been a bit dizzy lately, too. Never thought about vertigo! I'll have to look into that. Thanks again!

Sorry for the delay in responding. Life has been busy lately.

I think freezing bread dough is an excellent idea. Anything that works for you in helping you to treat yourself truly well is fair play.

I tried something similar once. I had made a cheesecake and couldn't stay out of it, so I cut it into little portions and wrapped each one and put them into the chest freezer out in the barn, only to find that they were so good frozen that I didn't really mind walking out to the barn to get one. lol

I think the dough has the potential to work out better, because then you have the entire thawing and rising period in which to talk yourself into eating something else, or just not eating at that time.
