Thanks for reading my Obsession blog and for your encouragement. I've adjusted my calorie range from 800 per day to 1200, 1500 and 1900. My previous doctor told me, "With your family history and health issues weight loss may not be possible." I just didn't want to believe him. My current doctor is more positive but so far her suggestions haven't helped much either. Every day I walk 2 miles, do Yoga and Strength Training and am very active doing either gardening, housework or activities related to our recent move. My husband had back surgery in December and was told, "No lifting until September" so I've been doing all the heavy lifting, packing and hauling boxed down from the attic when we moved in January, helping him remodel his new shop, etc. I'm NOT sedentary or even close to it. I think the combination of early menopause and thyroid removal in 2001 is the reason for my lack of success and not anything I'm doing or not doing.
