Learning to accept & appreciate "progress not perfection"

I have continued to make progress, slow but sure, which I am learning to be happy with. A good friend once told me "progress not perfection", and I have tried to keep that as my main focus. In the past I would beat myself up over every little slip up or less then "perfect" moment. I have seen just how counter productive that had been. Now, I strive to keep making progress and give myself credit for the progress I have made. It has not been an easy adjustment and I still have a long way to ...

That in itself is a great accomplishment and has helped to prove to myself that I do have the ability to reach my goal. I did not get this far away from it, overnight, and I have to stop expecting to reach it, overnight. All the best to everyone in their journey to reach their goal, no matter how big or how small.
