Hi there, I'm Cara!

I was always an active kid with a big appetite. My folks would say "I don't know where she puts it. She must have a hollow leg!"

Well that was a LONG time ago. Now it's evident where I've put all that I eat. I've lost touch with that active kid & I miss her!

Well that was a LONG time ago. Now it's evident where I've put all that I eat. I've lost touch with that active kid & I miss her!

In November I injured my foot simply from being too heavy. That was the last straw. I 1st changed my diet by avoiding inflammatory foods, then once my foot was healed enough, started walking each day after work. I then went on a 4 week diet plan and lost 25 lbs. This particular diet seems to be very controversial which is a bit mystifying. I worked with a licensed medical professional and it was very effective for me. I used it as tool to enforce portion control & healthier food choices and the habits I learned stuck with me after the diet ended. I continued to lose weight, 15 more pounds over the next 3 months. I started 2 sessions per week with a personal trainer as well as adding strength training at home and will start water aerobics this week. It does get hard to stay motivated though, so I'm eager to reconnect to the community.
