My Personal Philosophy:
Champions donít waste time. There are 86,400 seconds in each day; how will I use them? There are things that need to be done, and I am the one responsible for them. It has to be me.
I must keep all 86,400 in perspective. I have many people behind me, family, friends. And no matter how bad it gets, it could always be much worse. I have many great opportunities before me. There are millions of people that would give anything to be in my shoes, to have the opportunities I have. What will I do to make the most of them, and what will I do to make my supporters proud?
Champions donít have problems, only solutions to problems. These are the glory days of my life, days that I wonít get back. Iíll never be here in this moment ever again. The faces I see, the words I speak are quickly becoming memories of my past. Seize the day. What will I do today to make sure in the future I wonít be reaching back in regret of something I left undone, or something I could have done better?
The sun will come up tomorrow. The journey is riddled with obstacles, obstacles that become stepping stones. No matter what there will always be 86,400 seconds in each day; that never changes. What does change is how I use that day to make myself better, to make myself a champion. Everyday is just another step. Where will this step take me?
Destiny is a matter of choice, not chance and good things happen to good people that work hard. With hard work, and determination, I alone control my destiny. Lose track of this, and who knows where I will end up. The harder I work, the harder it is to surrender; I wonít surrender. What will I do today to prove it?
Choose your attitude. Drive yourself to be the best. Champions donít take days off. Remember this everyday you wake up, that there is now 86,399 seconds left, how will you use them?

Shattered my old personal best of 1.7K calories burned in one day with an almost 3k calories burned. 27 miles on my bike, 2miles running, an hour of tae bo + 250 Pushups & Situps brought me to 2.96K burned in one day!

Today I reached my original goal weight of 249lbs. Im now a 61lb loser and under 250 for the first in 9 years.

50 lb LOSER! Ive now lost 51 lbs in 125 days on Sparkpeople; including 11.5 inches off my waist since Thanksgiving and 5 inches off my hips! 249 here I come!

Ive lost 23 lbs in 40 days by making a significant and consistent lifestyle change. This is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. Im so glad that I started this journey. In 40 more days It will be the end of March - Spring will be beginning and Im very excited to see what heights I can reach in that time.

I am half way to my goal weight already. I set out to lose 60lbs in one year. I lost 30 lbs in 8 weeks! I am amazed at how easy it has been. To this day I dont feel like I've dieted at all. I've just been smarter and the weight has fallen off.

Goal #1 reached. Triglycerides have come way down. From 333 three months ago, to 200 today. Still some progress to be made, but certainly improving - need to get to 150. Spark People has made a difference. HDL needs some work still, but its improved by one point.
6 weeks ago today I started Sparkpeople. In that time Ive lost over 20 lbs, changed my diet, and committed to exercising. For the first time in my life Im enjoying the battle. Ive committed to Leave Nothing - a motto that reminds me to take advantage of each of the 86,400 opportunities given to me in a day.
Keep working. Today is a brand new day - make sure you leave nothing on the table today and do everything you can with your 86,400 to better your life.

Overall I try to burn 1,000+ daily calories at least 4 times a week. 5,000 overall each week. I use the Other Goals function A LOT and have over 15 smaller daily victories that I track. All those small victories add up to a BIG victory in the end if you're consistent.
1. I keep track of every single thing I eat in the SparkPeople Nutrition Tracker to hold myself accountable.
2. I drink no pop and eat no fast food.
3.Life and workout at the gym at least 4 times a week.
I am 31 from Bellingham, WA. Originally from Breckenridge, MI. I joined Spark 5 years ago and lost 100lbs in 7 months. I maintained mostly for the last 5 years but have crept up to 230lbs. Despite being heavier than Id like to be, I am in good shape. I recently ran a a marathon! I used to be a college football player, and never got motivated to lose my playing weight. In the 4 years since I played, that weight got very soft as muscle turned to fat. It took a long time to start because it became seemingly impossible and I didnt think I was capable of having the discipline to make this work. WOW was I wrong!
I found SparkPeople through going to a nutrition counselor on October 19, 2007. I havent looked back since. In my first two months I lost 30lbs. After the New Year I dropped another 23lbs in 40 days. By June, I had lost my 100th lb. in just 7 months.
