In late 2009, my husband decided he wanted to change his eating habits and begin living a healthy lifestyle. I, on the other hand, was very pessimistic about changing, as I had already given up on good health at 309 lbs.

With a little bit of motivation, my husband, Nolen, was able to get me to join in to better our health. Beginning January 2010, we began eating healthier, and at the end of the year, we had lost a total of 155 lbs (Nolen - 60 lbs, myself - 95 lbs).

I am continuing on my journey to lose the last 50-60 lbs. I have been using SparkPeople since day one of my lifestyle change but have not used the site to blog or connect with the SparkPeople community. I am excited to use these features in order to gain support and tips through the remainder of my journey!

I am looking to lose a total of 175 lbs. That would get me to 134 lbs!

I've started running as of spring 2012. I followed a C25k program and now run ~3M 3-4 times a week.
