Welcome to my Spark home

Welcome to my Spark page. I am 63 years old and a retired speciaI education teacher (non categorical preschool).
My husband and I have a 3 year old rescue beagle named Buster. He is a bundle of energy and makes us laugh. He has eerily similar traits that we saw in our last 2 rescue beagles. He's very sweet and lots of fun for us.
Our daughter, husband and her 3 children (my adorable grandchildren) live about 25 minutes from us. They also have an old rescue beagle. I am so ...

Our daughter, husband and her 3 children (my adorable grandchildren) live about 25 minutes from us. They also have an old rescue beagle. I am so fortunate to see them a lot. They are my sunshine!!
Our son is married to a great woman. They have his rescue beagle (see a pattern in our family?) and her two cats. They live about 10 minutes from us but are looking for a larger place! Hopefully, they won't move too far!
I joined Spark in December 2009 and, like everyone, life has thrown me some curves as well as blessed me in many ways! Although I struggle with consistency, my main struggle seems to always be with exercise. It seems I do fine for awhile and then I get off track. I always go back to the basics but it does get discouraging.
I'm trying to focus on being a healthy me with the energy to have fun with my family!

Thanks for your comment on my big changes blog. I really appreciate your support. I HATE job hunting but I'm determined to find a job I can stick with for the duration of my career! So thanks for the well wishes!

I saw your comment about bringing in the porch furniture for the winter. I had t laugh because we had a big windstorm and it blew our outdoor furniture all over the yard.

Take care Beth!

Hey darlin'. Thanks for the bloglove on The Brain's November Plan. I feel like I am working so hard all the time and even if I'm not getting anywhere I'm trying and there's no E for Effort grade. By giving myself credit for all the little steps I'm hoping to stimulate my moribund competitive streak enough to get me to make more good choices than bad ones. We shall see. I sure would like a new pair of boots.

I'm just waddling in to watch someone else eat right and get fit. LOL. I'm still fat as a tick. Thinking of all the things I need to do and don't but I am determined to do something. Not sure what yet. LOL.

It's a big project, but it's either take on a big project or sit on the sofa for the next five months watching Netflix and stuffing my face. (And your lovely "Thinking of you" comment came in while I was writing this blog!)

Oh thank you sweetie pie. Thanks for the bloglove. Would you believe it - I just remembered Something Else we are going to stuff into October. Forget the turkey - we're stuffing pumpkins!

Hugs and happy Monday
