Welcome to my Spark page. I am 64 years old and a retired speciaI education teacher (non categorical preschool).
My husband and I have a 4 year old rescue beagle named Buster. He is a bundle of energy and makes us laugh. He has eerily similar traits that we saw in our last 2 rescue beagles. He's very sweet and lots of fun for us.
Our daughter, husband and her 3 children (my adorable grandchildren) live about 25 minutes from us. They also have an old rescue beagle. I am so fortunate to see them a lot. They are my sunshine!!
Our son is married to a great woman. They have his rescue beagle (see a pattern in our family?) and her two cats. They live about 25 minutes from us also (in the opposite direction!)
I joined Spark in December 2009 and, like everyone, life has thrown me some curves as well as blessed me in many ways! Although I struggle with consistency, my main struggle seems to always be with exercise. It seems I do fine for awhile and then I get off track. I always go back to the basics but it does get discouraging.
I'm trying to focus on being a healthy me with the energy to have fun with my family!

Thanks a lot BETH, you are right our son is doing fine. He is a bachelor and he recently bought a house in Sheboygan, WISCONSIN. He told me he is buying a house, I told things about buying a house. I asked if what is the percentage rate, he said zero. I said zero Stephen how did you get zero and he said he paid cash! I asked him if it is an old house will you get some one in to do it. He said I have 4 bathrooms and three bedrooms and he sent a photo it has an half acre. I was blown away when he said cash but the zeros were there.
He lives very close to work and he likes it that way. It is a big house for a bachelor. I am so ready to get to see it. DH is not wanting to go anywhere especially in the summer. We bought a new car so we have a great A/C but when he gets out of the car he wants to get back in.
Our son has climate control in the house so I figure, we can drive there and DH can have a much bigger screen TV. DH has Macular Degeneration.
I want to go to see the area but I will have to let go of the computer. I am ready for this. I will keep my good friends and not do very much. I have been on the community and I get way too many people.

I have been taking GREAT care of the Beagle. I pamper him anyway and I have been taking him special dog treats and the tiny Chihuahua, I cannot give just one -both.

Today he has been eating and the tail is wagging, he has allergies and we have so many trees. I have been washing his face and he looks so much better. At first he resisted and I think he likes it now. He sits when he sees his own wash cloths, we do not know how old he is but I love these dogs- that are not mine. !!!
Thank you Beth, I appreciated advice. ((HUGS))

Pat in Maine. I hope your family are doing just fine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thank you SO much for the bloglove. The goofiest part about this grief thing is ... I CHOSE this path. I picked it knowing it was the right path. Whooee. sometimes I think I'm a nut.

but I will make it to the other side and there will be a granddaughter to play with when I get there. I just had to spit out the sadness yesterday. Thank you for listening.
